The company has been in existence since 1977 formerly known as “INSTAL ELECTRICS” with its office based in Southampton. The clientele was the domestic market and filled the gap left for minor installation work and repairs, where large companies were either not interested or were too expensive due to their overheads. The business continued to flourish, and is recognised for its high quality workmanship at a fair price.

With the continuing changes in the electrical industry, and the higher standards that are expected, INSTAL ELECTRICS was revamped and changed its image and company logo to bring it up to the twenty-first century.

In 2006, the company changed its name to INSPECTRIX, and now specialises in Inspection and Testing of installations as well as Portable Appliance Testing. Minor electrical installations are still carried out – something that some larger companies are not interested in these days.

INSPECTRIX is proud of its quality workmanship and recognises the need for quality workmanship at a fair price, and continues to flourish.

We at INSPECTRIX undertake to treat each contract individually and personally in order that all our clients receive the care we feel they deserve.

The company is operated by Andy Dunn MIET who has over thirty-five years’ experience in electrical and related industries. Andy’s philosophy is “if a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well”. Also, Andy will never knowingly do work that does not meet this standard
